A Short History of Academic Gratitude \nLa conférence se déroulera en anglais. \nÀ propos du conférencier\nJürgen Dinkel est titulaire de la chaire d’histoire mondiale et contemporaine à l’Université de Leipzig. Ses recherches portent sur l’histoire des inégalités et des processus de globalisation du XIXe au XXIe siècle. Elles s’intéressent notamment à l’évolution des ordres mondiaux\, au colonialisme et à la décolonisation ainsi qu’à l’histoire de la propriété et de la famille\, en particulier à la circulation mondiale de la propriété. \nPublications récentes – sélection\n\nThe Non-Aligned Movement. Jürgen Dinkel will distinguish three ideal types of scholarly acknowledgments: the rhetorically elaborate expressions of gratitude of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries; the concise and self-effacing acknowledgments of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries; and the increasingly subjective\, detailed and expansive acknowledgments that have developed since the 1990s. \nParticular attention will be paid to the emergence of this third form and to its relationship with broader transformations of the contemporary academic system. \nEntrée libre
